George Wilson Jr.
George Wilson Jr I was born in Dillingham, raised in Levelock, Igiugig and the back of my dad’s boat in Naknek till I was 18 and started fishing with my uncle Ray Apokedak until I took over my dad’s fishing operation in 1999. I have been fishing since I was 9 and am currently a SilverBay owner and fisherman of the only co-op in Bristol Bay. I am very proud to be affiliated with them and our future looks bright. My education is pre-9th grade in Igiugig, 10-11th in Levelock and I graduated from Bristol Bay borough high school. I got my associate of technical arts from Olympic community college in 1994 and have been working from oil fields up the slope to Kvichak marine in Seattle to Heavy weather boats in anchorage.
I moved to Naknek in 2012 and still live here. I own my fishing boat SassaLena and am currently building my next new 32′ bay boat which will become the first ever constructed in Bristol bay with the name of SanFranLena for my three daughters. I own fishy fabrications which I started in 2007 and still am welding away with it.
